Summary
CVE-2024-51823 is a Cross-site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Add Ribbon Shortcode from Sherwin Calims. The flaw lies in the improper neutralization of user input during web page generation. An attacker can exploit this issue to inject malicious scripts into a victim's browser, enabling unauthorized access to sensitive data or taking control of the user's session. This vulnerability poses a significant risk to users of Add Ribbon Shortcode versions 1.0.1 and below. Implementing input validation and output encoding measures, as well as updating to the latest version, is strongly recommended to mitigate this issue.
