Summary

CVE-2024-51718 is a newly disclosed Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting Adam Dehnel Simple Modal, a JavaScript modal library. The flaw is due to improper neutralization of user inputs during web page generation. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by injecting malicious scripts into a web application that utilizes Simple Modal. The XSS attacks can lead to information disclosure, session hijacking, or even complete system takeover. Simple Modal versions from n/a to 0.3.3 are susceptible to this issue.
