Summary
CVE-2024-51644 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting the Sam Wilson Addressbook software. This issue combines a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) and Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. An attacker can exploit the CSRF weakness to force a user into making unintended actions on the attacker's behalf, while the Stored XSS component enables the attacker to inject malicious code into web pages viewed by other users. The vulnerability can be found in Addressbook versions from n/a to 1.1.3. Users are strongly advised to update to the latest, patched version as soon as possible to mitigate these risks.
