Summary
CVE-2024-51494 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting LibreNMS, an open-source network monitoring system. The issue lies in the "Port Settings" page, which allows authenticated users to inject malicious JavaScript code by manipulating the "descr" parameter when editing a device's port settings. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability can result in the execution of malicious code, potentially leading to unauthorized actions during a user session. This vulnerability has been patched in version 24.10.0.
