Summary

CVE-2024-50335 is a Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting SuiteCRM, an open-source CRM software. The "Publish Key" field on the Edit Profile page is the point of entry for this issue. An attacker can inject malicious JavaScript code into this field, which then gets executed within the context of an authenticated user's session. This can result in the theft of CSRF tokens and the creation of unauthorized administrative users. The root cause of this vulnerability is insufficient input validation and sanitization of the Publish Key field within SuiteCRM. Theissue can be mitigated by upgrading to versions 7.14.6 or 8.7.1. There are currently no known workarounds for this vulnerability.
