Summary
CVE-2024-50237 is a vulnerability affecting the Linux kernel's wifi driver, mac80211. This issue arises due to the driver receiving uninitialized private data from a stopped vif (Virtual Interface) in the .get_txpower function. Consequently, the driver may crash as a result. This vulnerability has been resolved to prevent potential crashes and ensure the stability of the Linux kernel.
