Summary

CVE-2024-5020 is a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting multiple WordPress plugins. The issue stems from the plugins' use of the FancyBox JavaScript library, versions 1.3.4 to 3.5.7, which lack proper input sanitization and output escaping for user-supplied attributes. Consequently, authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher can inject malicious scripts into pages. Once accessed by a user, these scripts will execute, posing a serious security risk.
