Summary

CVE-2024-49509 is a recently disclosed vulnerability that impacts Adobe InDesign Desktop versions ID18.5.3, ID19.5, and earlier. This issue is a Heap-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability, where maliciously crafted files can cause the software to exceed the allocated memory and overwrite adjacent memory locations. Consequently, an attacker may execute arbitrary code in the context of the current user. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability, as a victim must open the malicious file to trigger the issue.
