Summary
CVE-2024-49120 is a newly disclosed remote code execution vulnerability affecting Microsoft's Remote Desktop Services. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending specially crafted RDP packets to a target system, allowing them to execute arbitrary code with system privileges. Successful exploitation could result in the installation of malware, unauthorized access to sensitive data, or further compromise of the affected system.
