Summary
CVE-2024-47835 is a null pointer dereference vulnerability affecting the parse_lrc function in the GStreamer library's gstsubparse.c file. The issue arises when the function calls strchr() to find the character ']' in a given string, but if the string does not contain this character, strchr() returns NULL. In such cases, g_strdup() is called with a null pointer, resulting in a null pointer dereference. This vulnerability has been addressed in version 1.24.10 of GStreamer.
