CVE-2024-47818

Summary

CVE-2024-47818 is a vulnerability affecting Saltcorn, an open-source no-code database application builder. A logged-in user, regardless of role, can exploit this issue by calling the `sync/clean_sync_dir` endpoint and providing an unvalidated `dir_name` parameter. This malicious input is used to construct the directory that is deleted by `fs.rm`. Saltcorn has released version 1.0.0-beta16 to address this vulnerability, and users are strongly encouraged to upgrade. No known workarounds are available for this issue.
