Summary

CVE-2024-47807 is a vulnerability affecting the Jenkins OpenId Connect Authentication Plugin version 4.354.v321ce67a_1de8 and earlier. This issue allows attackers to bypass the authentication flow by not checking the `iss` (Issuer) claim in an ID Token. Consequently, an unauthorized user could potentially gain administrator access to Jenkins systems. This vulnerability poses a significant risk to organizations that use Jenkins and have not updated their OpenId Connect Authentication Plugin. It is highly recommended that affected organizations upgrade to the latest version of the plugin to mitigate this risk.
