Summary
CVE-2024-47673 is a vulnerability affecting the Linux kernel's wifi driver iwlwifi. The issue involves a failure to pause Transmit Control Management (TCM) when the firmware is stopped, causing the system to send a host command to the transport while the firmware is inactive. This can result in a WARNING message being triggered, as the bad state is set to 0. The vulnerability is located in the iwl_trans_send_cmd function at iwl-trans.c:115, and the call trace includes iwlmvm and other related functions. This issue has been resolved in the Linux kernel.
