Summary
CVE-2024-47662 is a vulnerability affecting the Linux kernel. In the drm/amd/display subsystem, a register in the DCN35 DMCUB diagnostic collection has been identified as a potential security risk. The issue occurs when this register is inadvertently read by the driver, causing a security violation. Upon timeout during diagnostic collection, this action blocks the Z8 entry, leading to the vulnerability. To mitigate the issue, the register read has been removed from the DCN35 diagnostic collection.
