Summary

CVE-2024-47535 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting Netty, an event-driven network application framework. The issue arises when Netty, during its operation on Windows, attempts to read a non-existent file. An attacker can exploit this by creating a large file at the intended location, causing Netty to crash upon attempting to read it. Consequently, the application becomes unavailable, leading to a denial-of-service condition. This vulnerability has been addressed in the 4.1.115 release.
