Summary
CVE-2024-47194 is a newly identified vulnerability affecting ModelSim versions below V2024.3 and Questa versions below V2024.3. This issue lies in vish2.exe within these applications, allowing a malicious DLL file to be loaded from the current working directory. An authenticated local attacker can then exploit this vulnerability to inject arbitrary code and escalate privileges, posing a significant risk in environments where administrators or privileged processes launch vish2.exe from user-writable directories.
