Summary

CVE-2024-46934 is a DOM-based Cross-site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting Rocket.Chat versions 6.12.0, 6.11.2, 6.10.5, 6.9.6, 6.8.6, and earlier. Malicious actors can manipulate the UpdateOTRAck method to inject malicious code into messages, potentially leading to unintended execution of attacker-supplied script in a user's browser. Successful exploitation could result in account takeover, sensitive data exposure, or further compromise of the affected system.
