Summary
CVE-2024-46888 is a newly identified vulnerability that affects all versions of SINEC INS prior to V1.0 SP2 Update 3. This issue stems from the application's failure to sanitize user-supplied paths during SFTP-based file uploads and downloads. Consequentially, an authenticated remote attacker can manipulate arbitrary files on the filesystem, potentially leading to code execution on the device.
