Summary

CVE-2024-46820 is a vulnerability affecting the Linux kernel. It was identified in the drm/amdgpu/vcn module where the removal of interrupt disabling in vcn 5 suspend was resolved. Previously, the code did not enable or disable VCN IRQ in vcn 5.0.0, and failed to handle its state properly. As a result, calls to disable IRQ and set state were removed, eliminating the warning related to amdgpu_irq_enabled() in amdgpu_irq_put(). This vulnerability could potentially lead to unintended consequences, making it important for users to apply the necessary patch to mitigate the risk.
