Summary
CVE-2024-46814 is a vulnerability affecting the Linux kernel. In the drm/amd/display subsystem, there was a failure to properly check the msg_id before processing a transaction. HDCP_MESSAGE_ID_INVALID (-1), which is neither a valid msg_id nor an acceptable array index, was being used without verification. This oversight could result in four overrun issues. The vulnerability has been addressed through Coverity-reported fixes.
