CVE-2024-46666 is a resource exhaustion vulnerability affecting various versions of FortiOS, including 7.6.0, 7.4.4-7.4.0, 7.2, 7.0, and 6.4. This issue, classified as CWE-770, permits a remote, unauthenticated attacker to cause a denial-of-service condition by making specially crafted requests to certain endpoints. The vulnerability arises due to the lack of resource limitations or throttling.
