CVE-2024-46073

Summary

CVE-2024-46073 is a reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting IceHRM v32.4.0.OS login page. This issue arises due to insufficient escaping of the "next" parameter in the application's response. An attacker can capitalize on this flaw by crafting a malicious URL and tricking a user into visiting it. Subsequently, the attacker's arbitrary JavaScript code executes within the victim's browser, potentially leading to unauthorized data access or theft. Despite having sanitization mechanisms in place, this vulnerability is not adequately mitigated.
