Summary

CVE-2024-45520 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting WithSecure Atlant, formerly known as F-Secure Atlant. This version 1.0.35-1 of the software is susceptible to a remote Denial of Service (DoS) attack due to memory corruption that occurs during scanning of a PE32 file. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending a specifically crafted PE32 file to the targeted system, causing memory corruption and resulting in a crash or unavailability of the Atlant service.
