Summary
CVE-2024-45200 is a vulnerability affecting Nintendo Mario Kart 8 Deluxe versions prior to 3.0.3. Malicious browse-reply packets can cause a stack-based buffer overflow in the LAN/LDN local multiplayer implementation, leading to a complete denial-of-service of the game's process or potentially remote code execution on the victim's console. An attacker does not need to be a game session member, only nearby (LDN) or on the same LAN network. The issue arises from Nintendo Pia library's incorrect usage.
