Summary
CVE-2024-43564 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting the Windows Routing and Remote Access Service (RRAS). This issue permits remote code execution, allowing an unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code on a vulnerable system. Successful exploitation could result in the installation of malware, data theft, or unauthorized system access. The vulnerability exists due to improper handling of RRAS packets, and no mitigations or workarounds have been announced at this time. Microsoft is actively working on a patch, and users are strongly encouraged to apply it as soon as it becomes available to protect against potential attacks.
