Summary
CVE-2024-43545 is a newly identified vulnerability affecting Windows Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP) Servers. This issue permits an attacker to send specially crafted requests, leading to a Denial of Service condition. The server becomes unresponsive, preventing legitimate OCSP responses from being delivered, potentially disrupting secure communication channels that rely on certificate validation. Microsoft is currently working on a patch to address this vulnerability, and it is recommended that affected systems are updated as soon as possible to mitigate the risk.
