Summary
CVE-2024-43077 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting the Devicemem server. In the function DevmemValidateFlags of devicemem_server.c, there is a potential out-of-bounds write resulting from memory corruption. This issue grants a local attacker the ability to escalate privileges without requiring any additional execution privileges. Notably, user interaction is not necessary for an attacker to successfully exploit this vulnerability.
