Summary

CVE-2024-42356 is a vulnerability affecting Shopware, an open commerce platform. In versions prior to 6.6.5.1 and 6.5.8.13, the `context` variable is injected into nearly all Twig Templates, allowing unauthorized access to language and currency information. The context object also enables the switching of scopes as a helper, which can be called from Twig with any callable function or method. Malicious actors with access to the administration panel can potentially exploit this vulnerability using Mail templates or App Scripts. To mitigate this issue, Shopware users are advised to update to versions 6.6.5.1 or 6.5.8.13, while older versions 6.1, 6.2, 6.3, and 6.4 can apply corresponding security measures through available plugins.
