Summary

CVE-2024-42350 is a vulnerability affecting the Biscuit authorization token system. Malicious users can generate third-party blocks without transferring the entire token, enabling them to trick third-party authorities into generating datalog expressions based on incorrect keypairs. This can lead to trusting the wrong keypair and potentially compromising the security of the system. The issue has been addressed in version 4 of the Biscuit specification, and users are advised to update their implementations accordingly. No known workarounds exist for this vulnerability.
