Summary

CVE-2024-42332 is a cybersecurity vulnerability that allows attackers to manipulate SNMP trap logs in Zabbix. By crafting a malicious SNMP trap with extra lines of information, attackers can inject forged data into the Zabbix user interface. This exploit is possible when SNMP authentication is disabled and the attacker has access to the community or auth details. The vulnerability targets SNMP items configured as text on the affected host.
