Summary

CVE-2024-42074 is a vulnerability affecting the Linux kernel. This issue arises when the acp platform device creation is skipped during initialization, resulting in a NULL value for the chip->chip_pdev structure. To mitigate this issue, a NULL check has been added to the snd_acp_resume() function to prevent null pointer dereferencing.
