Summary
CVE-2024-41673 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting Decidim, an open-source participatory democracy framework. This issue resides in the version control feature of Decidim's resources, making it susceptible to Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks via malformed URLs. An attacker could exploit this flaw to inject malicious scripts into a victim's web browser and potentially gain unauthorized access or steal sensitive information. Decidim has released a patch in version 0.27.8 to mitigate this vulnerability. Users are strongly encouraged to update their systems as soon as possible.
