Summary

CVE-2024-40585 is a log file vulnerability affecting FortiManager versions 7.4.0, 7.2.3 and below, 7.0.8 and below, 6.4.12 and below, and 6.2.11 and below, as well as FortiAnalyzer versions 7.4.0, 7.2.3 and below, 7.0.8 and below, 6.4.12 and below, and 6.2.11 and below. This issue, classified as CWE-532, allows any low-privileged user with access to the event log section to retrieve certificate private keys and encrypted passwords recorded as system logs. The vulnerability poses a significant risk for unauthorized access to sensitive information.
