Summary

CVE-2024-40476 is a newly discovered Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability affecting the SourceCodester Best House Rental Management System version 1.0. This issue allows an attacker to manipulate administrator actions unintentionally, such as adding, modifying, or deleting valid tenant data. An attacker could accomplish this by tricking an administrator into accessing a malicious HTML page. For instance, an attacker could exploit the Delete Tenant action on the /rental/ajax.php?action=delete_tenant endpoint to delete tenant records, leading to potential data loss and security breaches.
