Summary
CVE-2024-39943 is a vulnerability affecting rejetto HFS, also known as HTTP File Server, versions prior to 0.52.10. This issue puts Linux, UNIX, and macOS systems at risk, as it enables remote authenticated users with Upload permissions to execute OS commands. The vulnerability arises from the use of a shell in the execution of the 'df' command, which is carried out using Node.js' execSync instead of the safer spawnSync method.
