Summary
CVE-2024-39895 is a denial-of-service (DoS) vulnerability affecting Directus, a real-time API and App dashboard for SQL database management. Attackers can exploit the GraphQL flexibility to submit queries with field duplication, causing the server to perform redundant computations and consume excessive resources. This issue arises when visualizing graphs generated at a Directus dashboard, and can be mitigated by sending modified data and duplicating fields in queries. The vulnerability is patched in Directus version 10.12.0.
