Summary
CVE-2024-39526 is an Improper Handling of Exceptional Conditions vulnerability impacting Juniper Networks Junos OS on MX Series with certain line cards, EX9200, and MX304 devices, as well as Junos OS Evolved on PTX Series. This issue allows an attacker to send malformed DHCP packets, causing ingress packet processing to stop and leading to a Denial of Service (DoS) condition. The vulnerability is only exploited if DHCP snooping is enabled and can be detected using specific interface status and log messages. Affected versions of Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved include those before certain releases.
