Summary
CVE-2024-38038 is a reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting Esri Portal for ArcGIS versions 10.9.1, 10.8.1, and 10.7.1. An attacker can create a malicious link that, when clicked, could inject and execute arbitrary JavaScript code in the victim's browser without requiring authentication. This issue poses a significant security risk, as it allows unauthorized script execution, potentially leading to data theft, session hijacking, and other malicious activities.
