CVE-2024-37880 is a cyber vulnerability that affects the Kyber reference implementation before version 9b8d306, when compiled by LLVM Clang through 18.x with certain optimization options. It has a timing side channel that allows attackers to recover an ML-KEM 512 secret key in minutes. This vulnerability occurs because the poly_frommsg function does not prevent the compiler from emitting a secret-dependent branch. The affected products are 'wZun2O' and 'wZun2P'.
