Summary

CVE-2024-37602 is a newly discovered vulnerability affecting Mercedes Benz NTG 6 head units from 2021. This issue involves a NULL pointer dereference in the Apple Car Play function. To exploit this vulnerability, an attacker requires physical access to the Ethernet pins of the head unit base board and a static IP address. Through the internal network and prepared HTTP requests, an attacker can successfully cause the Car Play service to fail.
