Summary

CVE-2024-34882 is a newly discovered vulnerability in the 1C-Bitrix Bitrix24 23.300.100 SMTP server. This issue stems from insufficient protection of credentials in the server settings. Consequentially, remote administrators can exploit this weakness to send SMTP account passwords to an unauthorized server via an HTTP POST request. This vulnerability poses a significant risk to the confidentiality of email communications and may enable unauthorized access to email accounts. Organizations using the affected version of Bitrix24 are advised to promptly update their software to mitigate this threat.
