Summary
CVE-2024-34733 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting the kernel of certain operating systems. In the file devicemem_server.c within the DevmemXIntMapPages function, an integer overflow is present, which can be exploited to execute arbitrary code. This vulnerability allows for local privilege escalation, meaning an attacker could gain higher system access without requiring additional execution privileges. Importantly, user interaction is not needed for an exploit to be successful.
