Summary
CVE-2024-33981 is a newly identified Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting PayPal's version 1.0 payment system. An attacker can exploit this issue by creating a malicious URL and sending it to a victim. Upon clicking the link, the attacker could gain access to the victim's session cookie through the 'start' parameter in '/admin/mod_reports/index.php'. This vulnerability poses a significant risk, as session cookies store sensitive payment data that can be misused if compromised.
