Summary
CVE-2024-31227 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting Redis, an open-source in-memory database. An authenticated user with sufficient privileges can create a malformed Access Control List (ACL) selector, leading the server to panic and become unresponsive. This issue impacts Redis versions 7.2.5 and earlier as well as 7.4.0 and earlier. To mitigate the risk, users are advised to upgrade to the latest versions, 7.2.6 and 7.4.1, respectively. No known workarounds exist for this vulnerability.
