CVE-2024-27781

Summary

CVE-2024-27781 is a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting Fortinet FortiSandbox. Versions 4.4.0 through 4.4.4, 4.2.0 through 4.2.6, 4.0.0 through 4.0.4, 3.2.0 through 3.2.4, and 3.1.0 through 3.1.5, as well as 3.0.0 through 3.0.7, are reportedly vulnerable. An attacker, having gained authentication, can exploit this flaw by sending crafted HTTP requests to inject and execute malicious scripts within the FortiSandbox web interface. Consequently, the attacker may gain unauthorized access to sensitive information, conduct unauthorized actions, or install malware. Fortinet urges users to upgrade their FortiSandbox installations to mitigate this risk.
