Summary
CVE-2024-26215 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting the DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) Server Service. This issue permits an attacker to initiate a Denial of Service (DoS) attack by sending maliciously crafted packets to the target server, causing it to become unresponsive and preventing it from assigning IP addresses to clients. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability can result in significant network downtime and disruption of services reliant on the DHCP server. It is recommended that affected systems are updated with the relevant patches as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
