Summary
CVE-2024-23968 is a critical vulnerability affecting ChargePoint Home Flex charging stations. This issue permits network-adjacent attackers to execute arbitrary code without needing authentication. The root cause is a buffer overflow vulnerability within the SrvrToSmSetAutoChnlListMsg function. The flaw arises due to insufficient validation of user-supplied data prior to copying it to a fixed-length buffer, enabling attackers to inject and execute malicious code in the system.
