Summary

CVE-2024-23959 is a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability affecting Autel MaxiCharger AC Elite Business C50 charging stations. This issue permits remote code execution for network-adjacent attackers, despite requiring authentication. The flaw is found in the handling of the AppChargingControl BLE command, which fails to validate the length of user-supplied data before copying it to a fixed buffer. ZDI-CAN-23194 first disclosed this vulnerability. Despite the authentication requirement, an attacker can bypass it to execute arbitrary code on the device.
