Summary
CVE-2024-23923 is a Use-After-Free Remote Code Execution vulnerability affecting Alpine Halo9 devices. Network-adjacent attackers can exploit this issue, which is located in the prh_l2_sar_data_ind function, without requiring authentication. The flaw arises due to the failure to validate the existence of an object before performing operations on it, enabling attackers to execute arbitrary code in the context of root. (ZDI-CAN-22945)
