Summary
CVE-2024-23370 is a memory corruption vulnerability that arises when two distinct processes interact with a HAB (Host Adapter Bus) virtual channel. The first process creates the virtual channel by invoking specific IOCTL (Input/Output Control) calls from user-space. Simultaneously, the second process attempts to destroy the same virtual channel by invoking its own set of IOCTL calls. This scenario can result in unintended memory modifications, potentially leading to arbitrary code execution or denial-of-service conditions.
